How to Sell, Enroll, and Call Clients WITHOUT Feeling Pushy or IckyJul 02, 2021
I had a conversation with one of my clients this week about her resistance to marketing, specifically her resistance to having sales conversations with her potential clients.
She shared that having sales conversations with potential clients made her feel pushy and icky and that people were thinking that she was going to be “all about the money.”
All of those uncomfortable feelings were coming up because ofher own mindset around money.
Internally, she had blocks and resistance to being seen and feeling deserving of abundance and in the flow with money. Can you relate??
It can be pretty overwhelming when those feelings come up, and I regularly work with my clients on this in my coaching programs.
The exciting thing is that there is an easy way to flip those fears and resistance into feelings of excitement and taking action. All it takes is getting curious.
What does it mean to “get curious” and how will it help?
Let’s do a little exercise right now. Lean back in your chair and open your mind to flipping these thoughts around.
Imagine having a conversation with a potential soul-mate-client about working together.
First, relax. You know that you have a great service to share and that you can make a real difference.
Now, all you have to do is be curious about this person in a space of love and service.
What do they struggle with?
What are the challenges they are having right now?
What do they want instead?
Is what you have to offer something that will help them?
Do you want to work with this person?
Are they an ideal client?
What would it look like to work together?
Would they like to work with you on this issue or challenge they are experiencing?
Isn’t it REFRESHING to think about having a sales conversation from this perspective?
There is no push, no pressure, no elephant in the room.
You get to choose if you want to work with them and they get to choose if they want to work with you. Easy breezy, balanced, and respectful.
Let this little tip help you to flip your mindset going into a sales conversation from one of fear, worry, and contraction - to an uplifting sense of curiosity, excitement, and win-win.
